The Better Me: Ramadan Personal Management Plan

Each year millions of Muslims around the world fast the 30 days of Ramadan. But how many actually succeed in benefiting from it truly? How many really win the mercy of Allah (swt)? How many succeed in being forgiven by Allah (swt) for their sins of a lifetime? How many earn refuge from Hell fire and a life of eternal misery in the next world? Unless they have planned effectively and with full heart and soul, they cannot benefit from the gifts of mercy, repentance, and refuge.

The Better Me is my blogging project in pipeline for @numzville Diaries. It's a collection of articles, surveys, and antics on the theme of personal management. It encompasses areas of emotional management, interpersonal communication, and the like. In the Ramadan Diaries 2011, I'm taking the opportunity to start off with personal management for Muslims.

RAMADAN PLANNING TOOLS

Some of the planning, scheduling, and personal reflection tools that I shall be using this Ramadan are the (1) Ramadan Goals sheet, (2) Productive Ramadan.com's Ramadan Taskinator and (3) Sisterly Yours Effective Ramadan Tips.

Let's review what these tools are all about:

1. Ramadan Goals Sheet

Whoever plans on effectively benefiting from the beautiful month must have a set of goals to complete in the 30 days. I have formulated a rough goals sheet for myself and I intend to revise it, inshAllah. Here's a sneak peak at it and I shall post it up daily for reference, should anyone wish to benefit from it.

 2. Productive Ramadan.com's Taskinator

Productive Ramadan.com's Daily Taskinator can be downloaded directly from the website. Each one who wishes to plan each day effectively should print out the pages and write down the daily tasks according to the goals they wish to achieve. I shall be doing that on a personal level and posting answers to some good planning and scheduling questions included in the Taskinator.

3. Sisterly Yours Effective Ramadan Tips

Shamsiya emailed me a brilliant Ramadan Planning presentation. It consisted of a set of visual aides that are highly effective in planning a productive Ramadan. The master slide summarizes the planning areas that I would elaborate on in The Better Me: Ramadan Special series, inshAllah.
